Instructional Assistant Valley Catholic Elementary School Beaverton, OR Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Employee assistance program Vision insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Valley Catholic Elementary School is seeking an energetic, flexible, responsible and caring individual to provide full-time support to classroom teachers for the 2026-2027 school year.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following:Responsibilities:
Assist the teacher(s) in preparing materials, teaching aids, bulletin boards and equipment for direct instructional activity, including locating, copying, collating, distributing, and/or grouping materials supporting instructional activities planned by the teacher. Schedule space for specialized instructional programs and coordinate the arrangement of equipment, desks, tables, chairs and activity areas. Assist the teacher in preparing for changing curriculum to meet the needs of students with diverse cultural and socio -economic backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Confer with teacher on progress of students. Provide lunch support regularly. Serve as substitute teacher when necessary.Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of school procedures and policies Ability to adapt to different situations and schedules. Knowledge of the techniques and procedures used in working with a targeted student population. Ability to plan and/or implement instructional activities.Preferred Skills:
Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, parents and staff. Provide student supervision before, during and after school while they are loading and unloading buses, on the playground, in the cafeteria, in a learning or practice situations, following appropriate training as assigned. Maintain the security and confidentiality of student records.Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's or higher degree or equivalent experience. Knowledge and ability to assist in instruction in core subjects. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening. Background screening required for all campus employees.
