Job Description

This position performs front desk administrative support and customer service functions for assigned area in direct support of all areas of the Community Development Program (Building, Planning, Environmental, Enforcement).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Performs administrative duties in accordance with County procedures and policy, including data entry, record keeping, preparing and processing a variety of documents, and maintaining files; duties may vary according to job assignment. Receives, reviews, and processes technical, legal, and/or financial documents; reviews accounts, reports, records, and other documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with County procedures. Provides customer service, information, and assistance to visitors and others having business with the department; assists clients in a courteous and respectful manner, and responds to requests for information within the scope of authority. Retrieves and releases information according to procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. Answers incoming telephone calls and directs the caller to the correct person or work group, or takes and relays messages as appropriate. Processes customer requests and transactions, receives payments, completes necessary forms for County services, processes fees for services; enters account information into database, verifies accuracy of information, prepares reports and files documents. Maintains computer records and filing systems; enters data, processes transactions, and updates database. Performs other duties as business needs necessitate. Supervision. 1. This position is supervised by the Community Development Director.2. This position does not supervisor other employees. #
INDWV Pay:
$17.50 - $19.50 per hour
