Goal #2 : All children, regardless of family situation, will have strong attendance that will carryover after HSYC participation. Goal #3 : HSYC will be known for providing high quality, comprehensive services for school and life readiness through a unique two-generation approach. Goal #4 : Hire and retain individuals who are committed to the true HSYC mission and philosophy and who understand the need to be trauma-informed and relationship-based in an early childhood program.
General Description:
The Teacher Assistant position will assist the Teacher in planning, preparation and implementation of a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum for up to 18, three, four- and five-year-old children. The Teacher Assistant works in collaboration with the Lead Teacher and Aide to provide comprehensive, responsive lessons that focus on all areas of development including: social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, cognitive and math. This role will also support with the compliance in Head Start Performance Standards, HSYC Policies and Procedures as well as Oregon Department of Learning and Care (DELC) Standards.
