K-6 Special Ed Teacher- Autistic Support 2.2 2.2 out of 5 stars Baden, PA 15005 Full-time Baden Academy Charter School 5 reviews Full-time Baden Academy Charter School, a K-6 arts and sciences integrated public charter school, is seeking a Full-Time K-6 Special Education Teacher for an Autistic Support classroom. We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and dedicated educator who is passionate about helping young learners with autism develop academic, communication, social, behavioral, and independent living skills. The Teacher, along with a team of Paras, will support students in a structured, nurturing classroom environment designed to meet the unique needs of each learner. At BACS, we believe every child has the ability to grow and succeed when provided with the right support, individualized instruction, and a caring community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inclusive education, Special Education law, and evidence-based practices for supporting students with autism. Position Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student IEP goals and developmental needs Provide specially designed instruction in academic, communication, socialemotional, behavioral, and functional skill areas Teach and support students in developing independence and daily living skills Create a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual learning needs Collect data and maintain accurate Special Education records and documentation Monitor student progress and communicate growth toward IEP goals Collaborate with families, general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff Provide guidance and support to students while fostering confidence, independence, and inclusion Integrate artsbased learning opportunities into instruction Minimum Qualifications Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate Special Education Certification Experience working with students with autism and/or in a life skills setting preferred Knowledge of IEP development, Special Education law, and compliance requirements Ability to successfully complete all required employment clearances Negative TB test Position Details FullTime, Salary Exempt Position Benefits eligible the first of the month following hire BACS pays 100% of benefit premiums If you are an educator who loves helping young students build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning, we would love to hear from you! The 26-27 school year, for staff, begins August 12, 2026. About Baden Academy Charter School Baden Academy Charter School is a K-6, public charter school. All children, Kindergarten through sixth grade, are eligible for enrollment in our school, at no cost to the parents/guardians of enrolled students. BACS offers an arts-infused academic experience at our brick-and-mortar campus in Baden, PA. In addition to typical English/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, our students receive weekly instruction, from expert educators, in theater, music, and visual arts. We offer violin instruction, beginning in first grade, and host multiple performances throughout each school year that give children an opportunity to put their newly acquired skills on display for family and friends.
