United Staff Group is seeking multiple Special Education Paraprofessionals to work within the Office of Student Services at an intermediate unit in PA. These full-time positions provide classroom and/or 1:1 support to K-12 students in a variety of specialized classrooms and programs, including:

Autistic Support

Emotional Support

Life Skills Support

Multiple Disabilities Support

Transition Programs

Responsibilities:

Provide classroom and/or 1:1 support to students with disabilities in grades K-12

Assist teachers in implementing IEPs, lesson plans, and behaviour support plans

Support students' academic, functional, social, and daily living skills

Help manage student behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies

Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required

Monitor and document student progress and behaviour as directed

Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Maintain confidentiality of student information

Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and school staff

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate's degree, 48+ college credits, or passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment preferred

Experience working with students with disabilities preferred

Ability to work with students with autism, emotional, and multiple disabilities

Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills

Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting, mobility, and physical intervention support

Must obtain required Pennsylvania clearances (Act 34, Act 151, Act 114 FBI fingerprinting) and a TB test
