Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Paraeducators and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide individualized support to students under the direct supervision of certified special education teachers and professional staff, providing one-on-one or classroom-level support to students with diverse learning, behavioral, physical, and developmental needs. In this role, you will assist students in accessing their educational environment, implementing behavioral support plans, and achieving their individualized education goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to assigned students throughout the school day across instructional and non-instructional settings. Assist students with classroom tasks, academic activities, and behavioral strategies outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Support students with personal care needs, which may include assisting with mobility, positioning, feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene as required. Implement positive behavior support plans and intervention strategies under the direction of classroom teachers and behavioral staff. Monitor and record student progress, behavior logs, and data related to IEP goals. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, assisting with classroom transitions, arrival/dismissal, and supervision during lunch or recess. Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, school nurses, and administration to maintain consistent support for students.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or college coursework in education, psychology, or related field preferred. Prior experience working with children, special needs students, or in a healthcare/behavioral health setting. Ability to assist students with physical needs, including lifting, transferring, or positioning as appropriate. Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-collaboration skills. #Education Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to qualified candidates who meet eligibility requirements.
