The Dallastown Area School District is a premiere school district, located in South Central Pennsylvania and a suburban area of York County. We have eight (8) school buildings and 730 employees serving over 6,400 students (K-12). About us!
JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Special Education (K–6) supports the planning, implementation, and oversight of special education services for elementary students. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while promoting high-quality, inclusive instructional practices that meet the diverse needs of learners.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid PA Supervisory /
Administrative Certificate:
School Admin. – Principal PK-12 (1115) OR Supervisor - Special Education PK-12 (9215)
Valid PA Teaching Certificate:
Special Education PK-12 (9231) OR Special Education PK-8 (9226) Five (5) years teaching experience in special education Master's degree Knowledge of special education law, disabilities, programmatic needs of students, and current trends and techniques in the field is necessary Completion and submission of all mandated pre-employment documents and information. Such additions or alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable consistent with applicable Pennsylvania law, regulations, and requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with experience. Excellent Benefits Package including paid vacation, personal and sick days, along with holidays following the school calendar and July 4.
