Our center emphasizes early childhood development and educational support to foster growth and learning in young children. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Pre-K1 Assistant Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson planning, and help create a positive learning environment for preschool-aged children. This paid position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while making a meaningful difference in children's lives. Responsibilities Support lead teachers with daily classroom management and instructional activities Assist in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards Help facilitate literacy, math, and preschool teaching activities that promote childhood development Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play Work closely with children to support their social, emotional, and behavioral development Collaborate with teachers on behavior management strategies and individualized support plans Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience Qualifications Experience working with children in childcare, daycare, preschool, or similar educational settings Knowledge of early childhood education principles including childhood development and behavior management Familiarity with curriculum development for preschool or toddler care programs Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus Technical proficiency in classroom management tools or educational software preferred Passion for teaching young children and supporting their growth through engaging activities Join us at St Paul's Child Development Center to help shape the future by fostering a joyful, supportive learning environment for young learners.
