Job Description

Make a true impact supporting students with intensive needs as a contracted paraprofessional in a dynamic educational environment. This opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals with substantial experience in special education, specifically serving children with severe autism and behavioral challenges. Your work will directly contribute to fostering a supportive and safe space for high-need students, making every day meaningful.
What You Bring:
At least 1 year of experience in a special education paraprofessional role (PreK-12), specifically working with students with severe autism and behavioral challenges. Comfortable and skilled in highly structured behavioral settings, including providing safety interventions and managing intensive behavioral needs. Willing and able to assist with hands-on responsibilities such as toileting, diapering, feeding, and mobility support. Qualify for (or willingness and ability to quickly obtain) Pennsylvania paraprofessional credentials per state requirements within 60 days. Ability to commute within 35 minutes of the assignment sites. Available full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:00 PM. Commitment to completing all onboarding, clearances, and a mandatory orientation week in advance of the assignment. Strong references from two previous paraprofessional supervisors.
What You'll Do:
Support students in either K-8 or high school settings, providing daily, direct, and compassionate assistance. Implement behavior intervention plans safely and consistently. Help maintain a structured, predictable learning space, adapting to changing student needs. Work collaboratively with educators and related service providers. Respond proactively to aggressive or self-injurious behaviors with training and support plans. Expect a detailed onboarding process that ensures you're ready to step into this critical role. Placement is determined by completion of the onboarding process and clearance approval. If you're ready to make a difference for learners with the highest needs and meet the outlined criteria, submit your application and resume today to start your journey in this crucial and rewarding position!
