Make an immediate impact as a paraprofessional supporting students with moderate to high-intensity needs, including those with severe autism and behavioral challenges, across K-12 settings. This contract opportunity will place you in a dynamic pool, providing vital 1:1 and small group support as needs arise in various area schools. In this role, youll work hands-on with children who may exhibit aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and require significant safety interventions. Success requires compassion, adaptability, and readiness to jump in wherever support is most needed. Orientation is mandatory for the first week, and placement depends on the timely completion of all clearances and onboarding steps.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1+ years paraprofessional experience in a PreK-12 special education classroom with children with severe autism and behavioral needs (must be clearly reflected on resume) Must reside within 35 minutes of the assignment area and be able to commit to a full schedule (MondayFriday, 37.5 hours/week, 7:30 AM3:00 PM or 8:00 AM3:30 PM) Comfortable providing intensive behavioral support, including toileting, feeding, diapering, and transfers Willing and able to attend mandatory orientation week Must meet one of the following: 48+ college credits, associate degree (or higher), or eligible to complete the PA paraprofessional certification process within 60 days of start Reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
