9685326-18901 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting students with significant needs as a contract paraprofessional in a highly structured educational setting. Positions are available within classrooms serving children with severe autism, where your experience and dedication to safety and well-being are essential.
What Youll Need:
A minimum of 1 year of hands-on paraprofessional experience in special education settings (PreK-12), specifically with students who have severe autism and behavioral challengesmust be clearly shown on your resume. Comfort and resilience in environments with high-intensity needs, including aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and intensive safety precautions. Readiness to provide direct, hands-on assistance, such as toileting, diapering, feeding, physical transfers, and supporting behavioral interventions throughout the school day.
Availability for full-time hours:
MondayFriday, 7:30 AM3:00 PM (orientation week: 8:30 AM4:30 PM). Willingness and ability to attend a mandatory orientation week prior to assignment. Residence within 35 minutes of the assigned location. Completion of all state-required clearances before orientation (details provided). Fulfillment of at least one of Pennsylvanias paraprofessional requirements (two years post-secondary education, associate degree, or successful completion of a competency assessment). If not already met, youll be required to obtain certification within 60 days of starting.
