Auto Body Instructor Aide Location:
Ebensburg, Pa Pay Rate:
$15.00/hr
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3pm What will you be doing? The Auto Body Instructor Aide assists the lead instructor with classroom and hands-on instruction in automotive body repair and refinishing. This position supports students as they develop practical skills, assists with preparing tools and materials, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized training environment. Assist the lead instructor with preparing lessons, demonstrations, tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas. Provide hands-on assistance to students during auto body repair and refinishing activities. Demonstrate and reinforce proper techniques for vehicle preparation, body repair, sanding, masking, painting, detailing, and related tasks. Assist students with the safe and proper use of hand tools, power tools, automotive equipment, and refinishing equipment. Monitor student work and provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback. Assist the lead instructor in evaluating student performance and tracking progress. Promote safe work practices and ensure students follow established safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Assist with maintaining, cleaning, and organizing tools, equipment, and work areas. Help prepare and organize instructional materials, supplies, and handouts. Assist with routine maintenance and inspection of tools and equipment and report damaged or unsafe equipment to the lead instructor. Encourage students to develop good work habits, professionalism, attention to detail, and proper workplace practices. Assist with classroom and shop management as directed by the lead instructor. Performs other related duties as assigned. What are the Job Requirements? High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in auto body, skilled trades, or a related field required. Knowledge of basic construction methods, tools, equipment, and safety practices. Ability to safely operate and demonstrate the proper use of common construction tools and equipment. Ability to effectively communicate instructions and work with individuals of varying skill levels. Patient, dependable, and able to encourage and motivate students in a learning environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks associated with construction training.

Pay:
$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
