Youll work closely with experienced teachers, contributing to an inclusive setting while honing your professional skills.
Desired Qualifications:
At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school setting Paraprofessional certification OR one of the following: 48+ college credits, an associates degree or higher If not currently certified, willingness to earn paraprofessional certification within 60 days of hire Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to assist students with special needs using empathy and flexibility Reliable attendance and commitment to a regular weekday schedule
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support within a life skills classroom, assisting high school students with daily learning activities Collaborate with teachers and therapists to foster an inclusive and supportive environment Help implement lesson plans, manage classroom routines, and support students' academic, social, and functional development Encourage students independence while maintaining safety and engagement Assist with documentation and communication about student progress as needed
