Description The Substitute Classroom and Nutrition Aide (CANA) will assist in the delivery of meals, maintain sanitization, cleanliness and records. The ideal candidate will exhibit the ability to successfully direct pre-school age children in a classroom environment.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate and assist with setup, serving, and cleanup of meals and snacks.
Eat with children to encourage conversation, positive social skills, and proper use of utensils.
Reinforce health, safety, and hygiene practices throughout mealtime.
Maintain accurate logs and records related to food service and sanitation.
Support staff with arrival and departure routines.
Attend trainings, workshops, and meetings as required.
Perform other duties as assigned to support classroom and program needs.
What You Bring:
High School Diploma or GED. Willingness to obtain a CDA certificate.
Experience with food service and/or supervising preschool children preferred.
