Job Description
St. Joan of Arc School is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic aide for our WINGS Extended School Program. WINGS provides after-school care for children in preschool through eighth grade. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates well with families and coworkers, and can help maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours Assist with attendance, snack, activities, and dismissal Lead or help with crafts, games, STEM projects, and seasonal activities Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play Help maintain appropriate classroom behavior Follow all program safety and emergency procedures Assist children with their individual needs Help clean and organize program areas Communicate professionally with WINGS staff and families Ensure children are released only to authorized pickup persons Qualifications Experience working with children is preferred Must be responsible, dependable, patient, and energetic Must communicate effectively and work well as part of a team Must be available on school days from approximately 3:00-6:00 p.m. Must be able to complete all required background clearances and employment paperwork CPR and First Aid certification will be required; training may be provided Must follow all school, Diocese, and childcare program policies Schedule Monday through Friday Approximately 3:00-6:00 p.m. School days only Additional hours may occasionally be available for training or special program needs Job Type Part-time Work Location In person at St. Joan of Arc School in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
