Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract A rewarding contract position is available for a skilled paraprofessional passionate about supporting student success in an educational environment. Contribute to a collaborative team, working directly with teachers and students to facilitate learning and provide valuable classroom assistance.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in an educational or support role Familiarity with classroom routines and instructional strategies Ability to assist students with academic tasks, classroom transitions, and daily routines Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and staff Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic school setting High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related coursework in education preferred
Responsibilities:
Support instructional activities under the guidance of certified teachers Assist with classroom management and monitor student engagement Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs Prepare educational materials and help maintain an organized learning environment Encourage positive behavior and reinforce school policies Support students during transitions between classes, meal periods, and arrival/dismissal Document student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff Participate in professional development and training as required As a valued team member in this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' daily experiences, while growing your own skills within a supportive school community.
