Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a paraprofessional supporting a student in a Life Skills program. This contract role runs from August 21, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with a full-time schedule of approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Your primary responsibility will be working 1:1 with a student on the autism spectrum who requires consistent structure and support to remain engaged in the classroom environment. Successful candidates are adaptable, calm under pressure, and skilled in managing student behaviors, especially those related to changes in routine and elopement risk. School experience is essential, as you'll be collaborating closely with both educators and specialized service providers to create a positive, safe learning atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings required Comfortable and confident managing behaviors associated with autism and elopement risks Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff and support your student Ability to maintain consistency and develop effective strategies for student engagement Reliable and punctual, with flexibility for possible shift adjustments
Key Responsibilities:
