Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a daily difference in the lives of students by supporting their learning journey as a dedicated Paraprofessional specializing in Autistic Support. This is a full-time, contract opportunity near Levittown, PA, offering the chance to work in a collaborative school environment until June 2027.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience supporting students in a school setting, particularly those with autism or special needs, is highly valued. Willingness to provide personal care and ensure student safety as part of your daily responsibilities. Flexibility and a student-centered mindset, adapting as needed throughout the school day. Ability to follow teacher direction professionally and constructively. Punctuality and reliability in attendance are a must. CPR/First Aid certification preferred—or willingness to obtain it within the first 10 school days. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred; training provided shortly after hire if not already certified. Required clearances and references must be submitted for consideration. Comfortable working onsite throughout the school year according to the schedule: 8:50 AM-3:50 PM, Monday-Friday (32.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).

Responsibilities:

Support students in their daily academic and social routines, facilitating their engagement and success. Provide individualized assistance under teacher supervision, including personal care as needed. Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Be actively involved in implementing behavior support strategies. Maintain accurate documentation and communication as requested.
