Head Start/Early Head Start of Beaver County is hiring Instructors and Instructor Aides for our classrooms located in CCBC and Ambridge . Instructor Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum of an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, child development or a related field with equivalent course work.Experience:
Two (2) years of classroom experience with pre-school children and knowledge of social service agencies in Beaver county preferred.Instructor Compensation:
- Position is 10 months, off in the summer
- Compensation based on educational qualifications: $25.
Instructor Aide Qualifications:
Education:
Prefer a minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education [ECE]; Will also consider an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in another field; Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent state-awarded certificate; Will also consider a High School Diploma or GED, in which at time of hire individual must provide proof of enrollment in a Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate Degree program, preferably in Early Childhood. Completion of CDA program must be within two (2) years of hire; proof of ongoing enrollment must be provided each semester (minimum fall and spring)Experience:
Prefer experience working with pre-school children, and willingness to help pre-school children grow. Knowledge in school bus safety regulations and/or food handling/service regulations desired.Instructor Aide Compensation:
- Compensation based on educational qualifications: $15.45
- High School Diploma/GED
- No CDA $15.71
- CDA or ECE Certificate $16.31
- Associate/Bachelor's Degree Individuals without a CDA/ECE Certificate, or an Associate or Bachelors Degree (in any field) will be required to participate in our CDA program as a condition of hire.
Pay:
$15.45- $30.
