Key Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings is highly preferred Background in providing one-on-one support to elementary-aged students Familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies, such as token boards and visual schedules Patience, consistency, and a compassionate approach to addressing emotional and behavioral needs Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Work directly with a 2nd-grade student on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day Utilize a token board system to reinforce positive behaviors Apply first/then visual supports consistently to help the student understand daily expectations Prepare the student for transitions using timers and advance warnings to encourage smooth changes between activities Provide timely prompts to help the student begin, stay engaged with, and complete classroom tasks Routinely review behavior expectations in various settings, including the classroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, and bus Foster a supportive and structured environment designed to help the student thrive both academically and emotionally Unlock a rewarding contract opportunity that supports both professional growth and student success.
