The PreK Teacher Assistant helps deliver classroom activities, supports individual children's learning styles, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment. This role requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential . This position reports to the PreK Lead Teacher and the Director. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in the implementation of curriculum activities and encourage participation by children.
• Actively engage in classroom activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
• Support the PreK Lead Teacher in tracking individual children's developmental progress.
• Maintain frequent, professional communication with parents alongside the Lead Teacher.
• Encourage self-help skills and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Help ensure a smooth daily transition from home to the childcare center.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
• Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience preferred.
• High energy and ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• An understanding of preschool-age child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.

Educational Requirements Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required. No exceptions — a High School Diploma alone, without a current CDA, does not meet the minimum requirement for this role. Bambinou Academy Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
