Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role preferred Comfortable working with middle school-aged students and able to build positive relationships Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students reach their full potential High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant training or certifications are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Assist assigned students (PCA - Personal Care Assistant), supporting their academic and behavioral needs Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under direction of specialized and classroom teachers Provide one-on-one or small group instruction, reinforcing lessons and assisting with classroom activities Help students with mobility, personal care, and daily routines as needed Monitor student progress and record observations for teacher feedback Promote an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment Support classroom organization, materials preparation, and transitions throughout the day This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a school setting while making a real impact in students lives.
