This role centers on one-on-one assistance, utilizing your skills as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Specialist, or Behavioral Health Assistant to guide a student with significant behavioral needs to achieve success in their academic setting. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to implement individualized strategies that foster positive behavior and learning outcomes. With a schedule of 35 hours across five days each week, you'll form a meaningful connection with your student while honing your own expertise in behavioral intervention.

Key Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in behavioral support within educational settings Background in roles such as Paraprofessional, Behavioral Health Assistant, or Behavior Specialist Expertise in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to build rapport with high school-aged students Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide consistent one-on-one behavioral support to a high school student Assist with the implementation of behavioral management plans and academic accommodations Collaborate with educators and specialists to tailor interventions Monitor, document, and report on progress and behavioral incidents Maintain a safe, encouraging classroom environment Adapt to evolving needs and advocate for the student's growth and well-being This contract extends until early June 2027, offering stability and the chance to make a real difference each day.
