Instructional Assistant, High School, Temporary Support Staff (Anticipated)
Location:
ACHIEVE PROGRAM
Available:
September, 2026 - March 3, 2027
Hours/Schedule:
7.0 hours/day; 5 days/week; 182 days per year (Benefit Eligible)
Requirements:
Previous Instructional Assistant Experience in High School School setting preferred
Ability to collect data, work with team of educators, and carry out academic support plans
Qualified candidates must meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education Special Education Regulations Chapter 14 Regulations. (https://www.pacode.com/secure/data/022/chapter14/s14.105.html)
Have completed at least two years of post-secondary study; or
Possess an associate's degree or higher; or
Meet a rigorous standard of quality as documented through a state or local assessment. Additional information can be assessed at Bureau of Special Education Credential of Competency for Special Education Instructional Paraeducators in Pennsylvania (pattan.net)
REQUIRED PAPERWORK
In order to begin employment in any PA public school, all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:
PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo
Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form, PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), physician's health form and recently completed TB test.
