Job Description

Description Sewickley Academy is seeking to hire a part-time Assistant for our after-school program. The after school program operates between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Assistant is responsible for the supervision of students in Grades 1-5. This role will supervise children to ensure continuity and quality of programming.
Responsibilities:
Check the program's equipment and make sure it is adequate before the program starts. Treat all children with dignity and respect. Assist the Director in lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation of the After School Program. Work with other team members as needed. Ensure all children are signed in and out each day. Maintain a professional attitude at all times. Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times. Report to Director with any problem which may occur with the children. Observe, record, and report on the behavior of individual children as assigned. Requirements Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
