Job Description

The State College Area School District is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Instructional Paraprofessional to support the Business Education and Family Consumer Science (FCS) programs within our Career and Technical Center (CTC). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students to provide classroom and instructional support while assisting with CTC-related clerical tasks and documentation.
Responsibilities include:
Business Education:
Assist with the daily operation of the Student Run School Store, including setup and cleanup, inventory, ordering, stocking, customer service, cash register operations, and organizing deposits.
FCS:
Support students as they develop hands-on skills in food preparation, hospitality, nutrition and wellness, sanitation, food safety, and food service. Assist teachers with classroom activities, student support, organization, and CTC compliance documentation. Provide support for a variety of activities and priorities in a fast-paced educational environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Good judgment, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Basic computer and technology skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally. Experience working with high school students is preferred. This position offers a varied and rewarding opportunity to work directly with students in hands-on Business Education and FCS learning environments.
