We are looking for a passionate and qualified Assistant Preschool teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. Position Summary The Assistant Preschool teacher supports the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing a high-quality educational program for young children. In this role, you will help manage daily classroom routines, foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Key Responsibilities Classroom Support:

Assist the Lead Teacher in executing age-appropriate lesson plans, daily activities, and interactive play. Act as lead teacher in the event the lead teacher is off site.

Child Supervision:

Maintain active supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure a safe environment.

Routine Care:

Help children with daily routines, including arrivals/departures, meal and snack times, hygiene, and naptime.

Positive Guidance:

Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage social-emotional growth and cooperative play.

Observation & Documentation:

Assist in tracking child development milestone milestones and maintaining a clean, organized classroom.

Communication:

Maintain open and professional communication with parents, staff, and leadership.

Required Qualifications & Education Education:

Must hold a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)

Clearances:

Ability to successfully pass all required state and federal background checks, including criminal history and child abuse clearances.

Certifications:

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Physical Stamina:

Ability to actively engage with small children, which includes bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Preferred Skills Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or Head Start program. Strong understanding of early childhood growth and development milestones. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Pay:
