About Kumon Kumon is the world's largest after-school Math and Reading program, helping students build strong academic skills, confidence, and independent learning habits. Kumon of Wayne serves students from Pre-K through middle school in a structured, supportive environment. Position Summary Kumon of Wayne is hiring part-time teacher Assistants to support daily instructional and operational tasks. Ideal candidates are dependable, academically strong, and enjoy working with children in a fast-paced learning environment. Training is provided. Responsibilities Instructional Support Work individually with Early Learners and primary-level students using the Kumon Method Monitor and encourage proper study habits and class routines Communicate student progress and observations to the Instructor Grading & Academic Tasks Grade worksheets, homework, and corrections with accuracy Conduct oral reading checks and provide feedback Organize and prepare student work packets and files Customer Service & Center Operations Assist with parent and student communication during class hours Assist with student events, organization, and retention activities Qualifications Strong Math and Reading skills (Algebra proficiency preferred) Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Experience working with children is a plus (not required) Customer service mindset and positive attitude Ability to multitask and work in a structured academic environment Basic computer proficiency Schedule Typical schedule aligns with after-school hours.
Monday:
3:30 PM - 6:00 PM;Tuesdays and Thursdays:
3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Estimated hours: 6-10 hours per week , evenings required. Weekday evenings; weekend availability may be required based on center needs.Compensation Pay Range:
$10.00 - $13.00 per hour (based on experience and responsibilities)Benefits:
