Early Childhood Support Teacher 2026-2027 School Year Cheder Menachem Preschool Do you love working with young children and thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment? Are you passionate about supporting children's growth while partnering with teachers to create exceptional learning experiences? Cheder Menachem Preschool is seeking a warm, flexible, and dedicated Early Childhood Support Teacher to join our growing team for the upcoming school year. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys variety, building relationships across classrooms, and making a meaningful difference throughout the school. We welcome applicants with degrees in Early Childhood Education or related fields, as well as experienced childcare professionals who are passionate about nurturing young children. We're Looking for
Someone Who:
Has a genuine love for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Brings warmth, patience, professionalism, and enthusiasm to every classroom. Is flexible, adaptable, and enjoys working with children of different ages. Holds (or is pursuing) a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred). Has experience in childcare, preschool, or early childhood education. Understands child development and developmentally appropriate practice. Works collaboratively with teachers and communicates effectively with families. Is dependable, organized, and able to confidently step into a variety of classroom settings.
Responsibilities Include:
Supporting classrooms throughout the preschool as needed. Covering teacher planning time, breaks, meetings, and staff absences. Assisting in infant, toddler, nursery, and Pre-K classrooms. Leading small-group activities, story time, music, art, sensory exploration, and outdoor learning. Supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Helping maintain safe, organized, and engaging classroom environments. Assisting with arrival, dismissal, meals, playground supervision, and daily transitions. Collaborating with teachers to ensure continuity of care and learning throughout the school.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Reggio Emilia-inspired education. Familiarity with Creative Curriculum and/or Teaching Strategies Gold. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Schedule:
