9680903-18702 Job Description Step into a rewarding role supporting students at the secondary level as a Behavioral Health Assistant/Skilled Paraprofessional. Work closely with 7th to 9th graders in an emotionally supportive environment, providing shared support and daily encouragement to help them thrive both academically and personally. Your expertise in behavioral health and experience as a behavioral specialist or paraprofessional will make a meaningful difference as you collaborate with educators and staff in a contract-based position. You'll influence positive behavioral strategies and champion student success in the classroom and beyond.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, Behavioral Health Assistant, or Behavior Specialist preferred Knowledge and understanding of emotional support needs for middle and high school students Patience, reliability, and a nurturing approach to student engagement Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, teachers, and parents Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily behavioral support and guidance to 7th9th grade students in a secondary educational center Assist educators in implementing individualized behavioral interventions and de-escalation techniques Support students in classrooms, hallways, and social settings, helping to manage behaviors and promote positive interactions Document student progress, noting behavioral achievements and areas for improvement Participate in team meetings to develop and adapt support strategies for students with emotional support needs Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all learners This position offers the chance to make a real difference for students who benefit most from compassionate, consistent support.
