Job Description
Stillmeadow Nazarene Child Care Center is looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator to be an Assistant Infant Teacher. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment that promotes each individual child's spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through developmentally appropriate practices, helping the children in our care to explore, discover, create, and become life-long learners. Stillmeadow is designated as a STAR 4 Center by PA Keystone STARS.
Qualifications:
BA or Associates in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) preferred. 2500 documented hours working with children required. Prior classroom experience. Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Strong written and oral communication skills.Daily Responsibilities:
Maintain an orderly, healthy, safe, and positive learning environment where children develop a love of learning. Plan and implement individual and group activities that are responsive to the needs and interests of the children. Use developmentally appropriate practices which promote social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development. Assess each child's learning needs through documented observations and the use of the assessment tool. Develop lesson plans aligned with the center's curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards. Maintain positive relationships with parents and communicate with them in a professional manner.We provide outstanding opportunities including:
