Job Description

For this position, you must be fluent in reading / writing / speaking Vietnamese. As an Education Consultant / College Counselor at Ivy Talent, you will work closely with students and families on education plans, guide students through the college admissions process, and provide ongoing student mentoring. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Advise students on academic planning, extracurricular development, and college preparation. Guide students through every stage of the college admissions process, including school selection, application strategy, essays, and interviews. Conduct one-on-one consultations with students and parents in both Vietnamese and English. Develop customized admissions strategies based on each student's academic profile and goals. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback and support. Collaborate with internal team members to ensure high-quality student outcomes. Stay current on college admissions trends, university requirements, and educational policies. Visit college campuses for research as well to accompany families or students on tours.
Basic requirements:
Master's Degree in Education, Counseling, English, TESOL, Psychology, or related field. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work tasks. Detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Excellent organizational skills, able to work with multiple clients simultaneously and keep track of each client's information. Proficient at doing online research & creating new documents as well as using Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Previous experience in college counseling, education consulting, admissions, or academic advising. Knowledge of U.S. college admissions and higher education. Experience working with Vietnamese-speaking bilingual families. Ivy Talent's office in Woburn is located 10 miles outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Our office is easily accessible by both car (with free garage parking) and MBTA Bus #134.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
