Due to increased demand for clinic services, The Morris Center is seeking a reliable, caring, and highly organized individual to join our team in a hybrid Office Assistant and Academic Instructor role . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children while also being organized, professional, and comfortable supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy clinic. Position Overview The Hybrid Office Assistant & Academic Instructor will divide their time between supporting clinic operations and working directly with students. Responsibilities may vary based on student enrollment, clinic needs, scheduling, and operational priorities. Some days may require more direct student support, while other days may focus primarily on administrative and office responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable transitioning between administrative tasks, parent communication, scheduling, technology support, and working directly with school-aged children. Academic Instructor Responsibilities Academic Instructors provide direct support to students in a one-on-one or small-group, in-person setting.
Responsibilities include:
Instruct students individually or in small groups using pre-designed materials and curriculum. Complete required in-house Academic Instructor training. Update student progress flowcharts and other required documentation daily. Attend team planning meetings and assist with lesson preparation. Support school-aged students during session breaks. Engage students in appropriate indoor and outdoor activities. Maintain a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment. Training will be provided for The Morris Center's methodology and required technological application. Office & Administrative Responsibilities The Office Assistant portion of the position will support the Office Manager, Clinic Director, and clinic staff to help ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities include:
Support the Office Manager, Clinic Director, and staff with daily clinic operations. Schedule meetings with clinic staff, parents, and the Clinic Director. Answer phones and respond to general questions and inquiries. Provide professional and welcoming communication to parents, clients, vendors, and visitors. Retrieve, print, scan, organize, and maintain clinic documents and records. Assist with parent/client and vendor billing. Assist with parent/client report preparation, including entering assessment scores and other information. Assist with other administrative and operational projects as assigned. Student Support & Clinic Coverage Because this is a hybrid role, the candidate should be comfortable stepping in where needed throughout the day.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 35.0 per week
