Duties Description For a three-month period, over the summer session, Teaching Assistants will: Provide direct instructional services to students utilizing lesson plans, tests and teaching aids developed by a certified teacher,under the supervision of a certified teacher. Reinforce subject matter previously taught by a teacher byguiding students through a prescribed and frequently repetitivelearning exercise. Administer, proctor and correct tests. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current certificate issued by the NYS EducationDepartment in one of the following: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate; OR Pre-Professional Teaching Assistant Certificate; OR Continuing Certificate as a Teaching Assistant; OR Provisional, Initial, Permanent, or Professional TeacherCertificate.
