In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster developmental growth, social skills, and early literacy and numeracy foundations for toddlers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the formative years of children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic educational setting. Duties Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities and positive reinforcement Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, snack time, nap time, and learning activities to ensure safety at all times Facilitate early literacy and math activities that promote curiosity, problem-solving, and foundational skills Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and classroom goals Support behavior management strategies that encourage positive interactions and respect among children
Special Skills & Enrichment Activities:
Ability to share and teach additional skills or activities with children, such as yoga, dance, art, music, sports, or other creative/enrichment activities. Qualifications Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early education best practices Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in daycare or private school settings Knowledge of special education techniques and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, parents, and children effectively Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for early learners Classroom management skills to maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment Familiarity with Montessori methods or other preschool curricula is desirable Experience working with children who have diverse needs including behavioral challenges or developmental delays Compassionate approach to childcare with a focus on nurturing independence and curiosity Join us in creating an inspiring educational environment where every child's potential is unlocked through compassionate support, innovative teaching methods, and dedicated teamwork!
