Experienced 1:1 ALN Specialist Teaching Assistant Newport (NP10) Competitive Daily Rate Full-Time Position Immediate Start Available Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and confident 1:1 ALN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the NP10 area of Newport . This role requires a candidate with a strong classroom background and proven experience supporting children with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) . The successful candidate must be confident working independently on a 1:1 basis and able to adapt their approach to support pupils with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties, and other additional support needs . The Role Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with ALN. Support pupils' learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development. Implement tailored support strategies and interventions. Work closely with teachers, ALNCOs, and other professionals. Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. Essential Requirements ✔ Previous experience working within a school classroom environment. ✔ Strong understanding of ALN and experience supporting pupils with a variety of additional learning needs. ✔ Confidence working independently on a 1:1 basis. ✔ Excellent communication and behaviour management skills. ✔ Patient, resilient, and proactive approach. ✔ Available to start immediately or at short notice.
