Job Overview Safe Haven Learning Academy is looking for a caring, dependable Teacher Assistant to join our toddler classroom team! We're a growing childcare center dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. If you love working with young children and want to be part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do As a Teacher Assistant, you'll work alongside our Toddler Lead Teacher to support daily classroom activities, help maintain a safe and clean learning environment, and provide loving, attentive care to our toddlers. You'll assist with activities that encourage learning through play, help with feeding, diapering, and nap routines, and support children in reaching developmental milestones. You'll also help maintain classroom ratios and communicate positively with families throughout the day. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys working with toddlers. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience working with young children is preferred but not required for the right candidate. You should be comfortable working as part of a team, able to pass a background check (BCI/CPS clearance) as required by RI childcare licensing, and willing to obtain or maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Early Childhood Education coursework or experience is a plus. Schedule This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling based on classroom needs.
