Job Description

Take on a rewarding full-time opportunity supporting students as a contract paraprofessional in a school setting near Providence, RI. As one of three ABA TAs/paras needed, you will play a vital role in helping elementary-age students thrive academically and behaviorally, ensuring that every child has the guidance and structure necessary to reach their full potential. Engage in meaningful, hands-on work with a supportive team of educators and professionals. You will be matched to a caseload within elementary schools based on your unique skills and fit, determined following your interview. The schedule is 35 hours per week, with a daily 30-minute lunch, running from now until June 18, 2027.
Qualifications Were Looking For:
At least one year of experience providing behavioral support in school or other child-centered environments High School Diploma or GED and completion of a RIDE-approved Teacher Assistant Training Program (unless you have a higher education degree) Meet one of the following: Passing scores on the ParaPathways Assessment (minimum 332 in Reading/Writing, 334 in Math) 48 or more college credits from an accredited institution Associates degree or higher Candidates with a completed National BCI are preferred and may be able to start even sooner
Key Responsibilities:
Support students within elementary classrooms, implementing ABA and behavioral support strategies Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to adapt to each childs unique needs Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the instructional team Redefine the impact you can have as an educator while gaining valuable school-based experience.
