Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working as a Paraprofessional in a dynamic educational environment. Two full-time contract openings are available for the upcoming school year, offering the opportunity to provide direct classroom or 1:1 support in a supportive school atmosphere. These positions are ideal for dedicated professionals committed to fostering an inclusive and productive learning space for students.
Available Openings:
1:1
Student Support :
Work closely with an individual student to provide tailored assistance, while also offering coverage support as needed throughout the school day.
Classroom-Based Support :
Collaborate with teachers to promote student engagement and provide instructional support to groups of students.
Schedule:
Full school year, 7:50 AM to 2:10 PM, Monday through Friday.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or similar role in a school environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification preferred Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to diverse classroom needs Able to support both academic and social-emotional learning objectives Must be able to live on Block Island during the work week due to the ferry schedule
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver attentive 1:1 or classroom-based assistance to students and teachers Support instructional activities, classroom management, and differentiated learning strategies Encourage student participation and help facilitate a positive, inclusive classroom community Aid students with individual needs, including those with learning differences This is a unique opportunity for passionate educational paraprofessionals seeking a fulfilling contract role in a supportive school setting.
