Job Description
Job description We are currently searching for a warm, reliable, patient, and kind individual to fill our floater teacher position. Approximate hours are 10:00 am - 5:30 pm each day on average, with some full day shifts as needed based on coverage or an occasional day off during the week. We are searching for someone who loves to work with young children and teach them important foundations, someone creative and hands on with learning, who takes good initiative, and who wants to see children do their best would be a great fit for us. Those who are quick learners and know how to move and multitask are a perfect fit. Patience and classroom management skills are a must! We are a small family owned preschool in West Ashley, and have been open for over 10 years now. We are highly sought after by families all around Charleston because they have heard about how much warmth and love goes into our teaching. Job Expectations:
Assist with planning creative crafts and lessons using fun materials Preparing needed materials and supplies. Help with the general housekeeping tasks. Maintain a neat and organized classroom Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene- change diapers & washing hands Attend mandatory staff meeting/training Performs related duties as assigned to assist lead teachersPhysical Requirements:
Lift up to 40 lbs. Repetitive bending, stretching, and stopping Have mobility required to ensure the safety of the children Work with children on the floor Work outdoors in any variety of weather Perform light duty cleaning Fully capable to have visual or hearing capabilities consistent withChild Licensing Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D., and preferred one year of experience related to early childhood education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Must hold or be able to obtain a current FBI fingerprint background check. Pay will be based on amount of experience and education earned in this particular field.Benefits:
