The hours are 2:45-5:15 weekdays (2 1/2 hours each day) , Monday through Friday at an hourly wage of $20/hour. You will be working with an aftercare lead teacher who also teaches kindergarten. If you find that this is fulfilling work for you, other positions may arise over time. Duties Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction Support elementary children with homework or educational activities as needed Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive conduct and emotional regulation Assist with meal or snack times Follow all health and safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws in collaboration with the lead teacher Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Acorn School will pay for this education Good communication skills for parent engagement and teamwork Previous roles such as babysitting, nannying, or working with in early childhood environments will be considered valuable Join us in creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive beyond the classroom!
