Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educators, guest teachers or relief teachers. Substituting is rewarding. We would love for you to join our team!Substitute Teacher Compensation:
$100 per day for non‑certified candidates; $130 per day for certified candidates. High School Diploma or GED 18+ years of age of older (Middle/High Schools 21+ years of age or older)Negative TB Test Pass Background Screens Completion of Kelly Education Training Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant:
$13.33 per hour for non-certified candidates; $17.33 per hour for certified candidates High School Diploma or GED 18+ years of age of older (Middle/High Schools 21+ years of age or older)Negative TB Test Pass Background Screens Completion of Kelly Education Training Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students in various subject areas, including math, literacy, and special education.
- Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the regular classroom teacher.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student engagement.
- Monitor student behavior and enforce classroom rules and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
- Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during the day.
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED and experience in education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and follow established lesson plans.
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children.
- Must be available to work at least eight days a month.
Note:
This position is on an as-needed basis, filling in for regular classroom teachers when they are absent. Substitute teachers may be called upon to work in various grade levels, from preschool to high school. Perks you'll enjoy withKelly Education:
