You'll support the CS After school Program Manager in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where students can learn, grow, and connect. What You'll Do Help plan and lead engaging after-school activities—homework help, mentoring, enrichment, and life skills. Supervise students in small and large groups, ensuring a safe and positive environment. Support recreational and creative projects like arts, sports, and group games. Provide snacks/meals and maintain a clean, organized space. Encourage positive behavior and build strong relationships with students and volunteers. Participate in team meetings and professional development. Live out and uphold the core values of Northside Neighborhood House in everything you do. What We're Looking For Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with middle school-aged children Experience in nonprofit youth programs, after-school settings, or related educational fields preferred Proven knowledge of youth behavior management and conflict resolution strategies preferred Skills & Qualities Friendly, dependable, and enjoys working with youth Strong communication and teamwork skills Organized and able to manage multiple activities Calm under pressure and patient with diverse groups Creative and energetic in leading activities Basic computer skills (Google Suite, timekeeping, etc.) Physical Requirements Able to stand, walk, and move for several hours Lift up to 50 lbs and participate in physical activities Comfortable indoors and outdoors
