Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, and social-emotional development aligned with educational standards Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety and proper behavior management Support classroom management strategies by encouraging positive behavior and addressing behavioral challenges with patience and consistency Help prepare educational materials, set up learning centers, and organize supplies using computers and educational technologies to enhance student engagement Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavioral updates, and classroom events to foster strong home-school connections Collaborate with teaching staff on lesson planning, individualized instruction for students with disabilities or autism, and assessment of student progress Maintain compliance with educational regulations and safety protocols by adhering to childcare licensing standards and providing first aid or CPR when necessary Qualifications Must be 18 yrs of age and obtain a high school diploma or higher Available hours 6:30 am - 5:30 pm of center's hours of care Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education strategies, and behavior management techniques Willingness to attend ongoing training courses required by state licensing Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members Ability to supervise children attentively while promoting a nurturing learning atmosphere Proficiency in using computers for educational purposes and proofreading materials for accuracy Valid first aid and CPR certification is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff Join us in creating an inspiring environment where every child can thrive!
