TCAT Jackson Job Summary General Duties:
The Student Support Associate will work under the supervision of the Student Services Coordinator and Vice President of Student Services. The individual shall be responsible for assisting with duties related to Student Services and the support of the college. Some evenings/weekends and travel may be required. Job Duties 100% -- Responsible for recruitment for the institution, including answering phone calls, assisting with walk-ins, disseminating information regarding the programs available, providing tours of the College, and assisting with New Student Orientation.
- Provide attendance counseling and reporting.
- Assist students with completion of all required compliance training.
- Assist with academic reports as it relates to performance indicators and compliance.
- Maintain physical and electronic student files.
- Assist team members when necessary to ensure the success of the department.
- Other duties as assigned. - (Essential) Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma; technical diploma, or Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in education, business or industry. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of the principles, philosophy, and methods of technical education and individualized instruction.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, pleasant demeanor, and professionalism with coworkers, students, and the public.
- Display high effort, dedication, and commitment toward work; operate utilizing the efficient and organizational structure while demonstrating trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
