0 Knoxville, TN Job Details Permanent | Part-time | Full-time $13 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Key Responsibilities Support the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood learning standards Help maintain a welcoming classroom where children feel secure, respected, and encouraged to explore Assist in promoting physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured and unstructured activities Support classroom routines and positive behavior management under the guidance of the Lead Teacher Help observe and document children's growth, behaviors, and learning progress using appropriate tools and methods Assist in building strong partnerships with families through daily communication and support during parent-teacher conferences Follow all health, hygiene, and safety protocols, including maintaining a clean and organized classroom Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher, fellow staff, and administrators to support school goals and best practices Help modify and adapt activities to accommodate children with diverse learning needs and developmental levels Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and staff meetings to stay current with early childhood education trends Qualifications 18 years or older Previous experience in a preschool or child care learning facility (preferred, not always required for entry-level Assistant Teacher roles) Preferred knowledge of childcare licensing requirements Position Details Field Detail Position Title Assistant Teacher Primary Age Group All Full-time or Part-time Full Time Position Type Permanent Pay Range (Hourly) $13.00/hour Minimum Education Required High School Diploma or GED Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
