Minimum Requirements:
CDA, Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree 1+ year Experience in Early Childhood Education Setting Experience with DHS Licensure Regulations Willingness to obtain CPR certification Pass a TN background check Support the Lead Teacher in implementation of an emergent curriculum
Teaching Duties:
Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents and caregivers. Support the maintenance of a safe classroom environment that encourages parent participation. Support the creation of weekly lessons plans, if needed, which implement the curriculum and the TNELDS domains for each child's development in their care. Support the maintenance of a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children's learning and growth. Support completion of ongoing developmental evaluations of children as required and keep documentation in portfolio. Consistently follow and maintain all TN DHS Licensure rules and regulations for child care centers. Maintain open and consistent communication with classroom teaching team to ensure healthy work relationships and collaboration. Support and follow the directives of the Lead Teacher. Document the development of each child using anecdotal notes. Maintain hourly communication with parents and caregivers through web based software during shift hours.
