Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team and create a nurturing, engaging environment for children aged 1-2 years! In this role, you will implement the structured Abeka curriculum to support toddlers' social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on activities, and play-based learning. You will work in a classroom team with a lead teacher and ensure a safe, stimulating space that fosters curiosity, early skill-building (such as recognizing letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and basic concepts), and growth. Key Responsibilities Work with the Lead to implement weekly lesson plans aligned with the Abeka curriculum, including activities that promote toddlers' basic needs, educational milestones, language development, fine/gross motor skills, social interaction, and early academic readiness. Continue to maintain high standards of care and ensure smooth classroom operations while following Abeka guidelines. Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians through open communication using the school's parent/teacher portal, Playground. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to all state licensing regulations, health guidelines, and safety protocols. Encourage creativity, exploration, and play-based learning while providing individualized attention to meet each toddler's unique needs. Handle daily routines including diapering, feeding, napping, and transitions with patience and positivity. File incident reports as needed and respond promptly to any classroom concerns. Benefits Hourly pay of $16 - $19, based on qualifications and experience Tuition assistance for employees' children enrolled in our program. Paid holidays and time off. Teaching and classroom supplies fully purchased and provided by the school to support effective implementation of the Abeka curriculum and daily activities.
