Job Description

Join our fun, educational team this summer! Snapology Benbrook is hiring enthusiastic, dependable instructors and assistants to lead hands-on LEGO®-based STEM programs for children ages 4-12. We provide the curriculum, materials, and training — you bring the energy, organization, and enthusiasm for working with kids! This is a mobile teaching position, with camps and programs held at schools, recreation centers, and community locations throughout Southwest Fort Worth and surrounding areas. Instructor Responsibilities Lead engaging, curriculum-guided STEM activities for groups of up to 20 students Follow Snapology lesson plans and program structure (no lesson planning required) Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment using Snapology expectations and procedures Support students as they build, create, and problem-solve during activities Review lesson materials and complete required training prior to programs Communicate professionally with parents and partner staff as needed Pick up, transport, organize, and return class materials for assigned programs Assistant Instructor Responsibilities Support the lead instructor during camps and classes Help organize materials, manage transitions, and assist students during activities Assist with setup, cleanup, and classroom management Help create a positive, fun, and engaging learning environment Qualifications Must pass (or be able to obtain) criminal background and child abuse clearances At least 2 years of experience working with children in a classroom, camp, childcare, or similar setting
Preferred:
Education degree, teaching certification, or currently pursuing a degree in education Strong communication and classroom management skills Dependable, organized, and punctual Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Summer Schedule & Opportunities Camps are held at various Southwest Fort Worth-area locations Most camps run Monday-Friday in half-day sessions (9:00 AM-12:00 PM or 12:30 PM-3:30 PM) Additional opportunities may include: 1-2 hour weekday enrichment classes Workshop-style events with schools and community partners Promotional/community outreach events Schedules vary week to week, and hours are not guaranteed. $22/hour Camps & Extended Programs (3+ Hours)

$27/hour
Assistant Instructor:
$19/hour Promotional & Community Events $20/hour Pay includes scheduled setup and cleanup time associated with programs. Additional Information This is a flexible role. Team members should be willing to serve as either an instructor or assistant instructor depending on program needs and enrollment. Snapology aims to maintain a student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 12:1 and adjusts staffing accordingly.
