Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Paraprofessional to join our dynamic educational team. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education, including preschool and toddler care. Support students with special education needs by providing physical assistance, behavioral management, and classroom support tailored to individual IEP goals. Use effective behavior management techniques to foster positive classroom behavior and address behavioral disorders support. Facilitate communication using American Sign Language (ASL) or other augmentative methods for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Collaborate closely with teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to develop and execute strategies for student success. Support classroom activities by preparing materials, organizing learning spaces, and assisting with lesson planning to enhance literacy education and foundational skills in math. Handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students. Qualifications Experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Prior experience supporting students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders or behavioral challenges. Familiarity with special education practices such as IEP development and implementation under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Proficiency in communication skills, including writing reports and documenting student progress accurately. Ability to provide physical assistance as needed for students requiring additional support in classroom activities. Knowledge of basic math concepts and literacy strategies suitable for early learners. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in private school environments is a plus.
